Terms of use
Reviewed for the current beta. A UK solicitor reviewed and signed off these terms for current production use on 2 August 2026. The supporting review record is held outside this site. This is not regulator approval.
Spirit helps horse owners organise horse information and share selected details with people they trust. It does not provide veterinary, medical, legal, insurance or emergency advice. Owners remain responsible for professional decisions and original records.
Your responsibilities
Provide accurate information, protect your sign-in, upload only content you have authority to use, respect privacy and follow the law. Do not harass, threaten, impersonate, defraud, scrape, introduce malware, evade a block or suspension, or disclose another person’s private or medical information without authority.
Content and sharing
You keep ownership of your content and allow Spirit to host, process and display it only as needed to provide your chosen features and audience. Connecting never grants horse or medical access. Recipients may copy information they receive, so share only with people you trust.
Public riding-place information
Find Places to Ride publishes reviewed public business information. If you submit a new place, report a problem or propose a change, you must provide factual information, have authority to provide any business details you submit and avoid unnecessary personal or sensitive information. A submission, report or claim does not establish ownership, accreditation, endorsement or a right to control a listing. Site Owner verification gives no automatic editing access; every proposed change remains subject to review. Spirit may correct, reject, remove or archive a listing or proposal to maintain accuracy, safety or legal compliance. Public directory information may become outdated, so contact the business directly to verify availability, prices, services, qualifications, insurance, accessibility and safety before relying on it.
Supplier invoices and online payments
An invoice is issued by the named supplier, who remains responsible for its description, amount, tax treatment and any refund or customer-service obligation. When online payment is available, Stripe processes the owner’s payment directly for that supplier and pays the sale proceeds into the supplier’s connected Stripe balance. Spirit does not hold the supplier’s sale proceeds. Spirit may deduct the commission shown to the supplier; Stripe’s separate processing fees and connected-account terms also apply. A supplier must complete Stripe’s identity, business and payout checks before an invoice can be paid online. Payment availability does not change either party’s statutory rights, and a refund or dispute must be handled by the responsible supplier and payment provider under applicable law.
Email campaigns
Spirit may send the current horse-profile lifecycle reminder to active, verified members who have not completed a horse profile. Every production message explains why it was sent and provides one-click unsubscribe. Spirit checks campaign opt-out preferences and active bounce or complaint suppression before delivery. Essential account, security and safety messages remain separate. Future campaigns require separate review and approval.
Safety and accounts
Members can block and report. Spirit operators may review reports, remove content or suspend an account to protect members, the service or legal obligations. Reporting is not an emergency service.
Membership and recognition
Bronze, Silver and Gold are earned recognition levels. Carrots never expire and cannot be purchased, spent, transferred, withdrawn or exchanged for cash. Stable Business and Professional Yard are separate future plan concepts and are not currently sold; those paid-plan subscriptions will not be activated until pricing, benefits, cancellation, renewal, refunds and consumer terms are approved.
